Great video as always. I'm finishing my 3rd year of film school, and one other advice I'd give is to already start getting used to old movies and foreign language movies. You're going to watch, study and analyze movies from all decades and countries, and even at this point I still have classmates who have trouble watching some films because they're too used to Hollywood stuff from the 80s to now. There's a lot of good stuff from outside this Hollywood bubble, but it might take some getting used to start enjoying it.

Hey I just found your channel and thought it was great. I'm still exploring and you kinda gave me some shapes on how to start my dream of getting to film school and make myself feel positive that I won't be stucking in Vietnam studying Maths for much longer. I got enrolled into a film school and the classes would have started this month if not for covid. now it's delayed. i came across your channel and it's like a blessing because i don't have any idea about any technical stuff related to filmmaking. i can't even edit videos very well. the only thing i can do is photography and that too from my phone. i want to learn everything but i had been feeling so scared ever since i got in because my classmates would know so much beforehand and i know nothing. I feel like i would be a joke for teachers and students. i graduated in commerce and decided to go for filmmaking in post graduation. i have been watching your film school series and i feel kinda relieved but still scared of having no skills. the only thing i always do from the things you mentioned is watching lots of movies and series. i watch something everyday and have a passion of watching all the films and web/tv series. that's what made me enter this industry. thankyou for giving me a bit of relief and motivation. you deserve so many followers! :')
