Aside from the usual horror movies, monster-themed music, and admiring the beautiful decorations and costumes on display; as an empath, my ideal Halloween night is spent meditating and speaking with my past loved ones - seeking guidance much like having a cuppa with one's grandparents (only that they enjoy their teas in incense/jostick form). Just a quiet evening of contemplation lit by candlelight and perhaps sharing stories with loved ones about the exploits of those who live beyond the veil

Hi Ginny, I love your traditions for Samhain. One thing I always do is light my lantern for the dark time of the year, it's a glass jar decorated by me with seasonal leaves 🍁🍂, red, yellow, brown, with a candle inside to keep my spirit up brilliant during this season. Furthermore, I invite my loved ones who have already left to sit at my table and I feel more comfortable. It's a snuggle time for me 🧡. Of course, I do all the traditional Halloween decorations with pumpkins, skeletons, bats, mice in the bread basket 😃and so on because I love this season and so this year I'm thinking about being a vampire witch again ... I wish you a happy and blessed Samhain 🎃!

Carving pumpkins is probably my favorite thing. But I do also spend time putting my garden to bed. Cutting back rose branches and mulching the roots to keep away the cold, and then making syrup with the rose hips that have dried on those branches.

Thank you for the video! I feel like the stuff that we do for Halloween is pretty normal; carve pumpkins, dress up, pass out candy for trick-or-treaters, stuff like that. We also like to watch scary movies, and visit cemeteries. If there is a haunted house I can visit, I’ll do that too.

Thanks for this stellar dive into Samhain! As a Norse rune magician, I can't help but marvel at the parallels between this ancient Celtic end-of-harvest fest, and our venerated Álfablót! It's a beautiful reminder that regardless of our geocultural differences, the respect for ancestral spirits and the thinning veil is universal. Blessed Samhain and Skål! 🍂🔮✨

Hi! I’m a fairly recent subscriber and after binge watching a few of your videos, I happened to have my very first fairy ring sighting 🎉I know for a fact it wasn’t there the day before. We usually don’t get too many mushrooms that don’t get eaten almost immediately by the fauna, and these are bright orange compared to the pale off white we usually have. Not only are they still there but they’ve started sprouting under the hedge of our front porch. I just had to say that and thank you for your videos they’re not only entertaining but very informative. Happy Spooky Season 🧙🏻♀️🧚🏼♀️✨

Wow thank you so much for the inspiration. Iv literally ( couple of weeks ) come in to exploring witchcraft, im drawn to the idea of being more in tune with nature using nature for guidance and paying more attention to the seasonal changes around us . I always feel so much joy in my heart when I’m in the lakes , wild swimming by the ocean , so this seems the next step to exploring this deep rooted good feeling inside . I will be sure to try a making a pentacle , always do a bob and pumpkin but also to enjoy a feast and leave a little outside for spirits that have no place set for them . Again thank you for you guidance :)

Dearest Ginny, your video dropped at the right time for me. Thank you. I welcome thoughts from fellow witches on connecting with my dearest brother, who passed in May this year, as I sense spirits through dreams and feelings. I always renew my pentacle each Sawhain using willow and red twine to protect me through the darkest light. My Samhain feast always has an extra space laid. A gentle note using willow? I buy willow trellis each spring, leaving it throughout the seasons until Samhain. Perhaps you could do a video on Yule aka witch balls? I start making mine early Yule. Much love from Selene xx

I've just joined your pateron, very excited x I had a pentagram tattoo last year on my hand as part of a botanical alchemy symbol design. I absolutely love it, the intention was set for protection and love when it was done. I feel its energetic protection, all through my body, it's very powerful. Lastly... I too live in Devon, very rurally 😍 Blessings, enjoy your party ❤

When you say "Midnight on Halloween" do you mean one should stay up on the 30th and do the ritual as the clock strikes midnight on the 31st? Or stay up on the 31st and do it as the clock strikes midnight on the 1st?
