@@TilWeMakeIt Well, I finish school in about a year. But I've already got the tuition fee taken care of and put to the side in savings. So pretty much as soon as I get out of school. Would you say it's at least worth getting some cardiovascular training in before going to a school? As someone that hasn't worked out much my cardio isn't great and I'd really like to keep up in training
@TilWeMakeIt4 жыл бұрын
You bet, but the cardio you'll be doing at practice, I think you will discover, will be demanding in a way no other really is - not cycling, swimming or running (to name a few.) How soon will you begin training?

@@TilWeMakeIt Well originally I was going to give myself 4 months to see what sort of shape I'd be in. But I never even considered the possibility of being able to get that done in a ring. I'am actually in a MMA club for 3 more months and then i will have a test day for pro wrestling school. I'am wondering is it best for me to continue with the fighting styles? I heard especially bjj have some in common with wrestling. Or since i dont plan to go further with martial arts i rather do full body lifting workout and cardio to be in greatest shape and look more muscular? since it seems to be important for pro wrestling ? I'am 32 and and in great shape, lean but not very muscular (hence the bb workout), i have a lot of striking experience many competitions in karate kyokushin and muay thai but little in grappling only 6 month in bjj. thanks

For whatever things BJJ can teach you, most of it you will have to unlearn in pro wrestling school. It may actually make your training harder.

I wish there was one, absolute answer to that question, but there isn't. Your best bet would be to enroll for a short period of time and see how your body responds, before plunking down a real chunk of change for years of training.

I guess it kind of goes with having a good ability to improvise, but have you got any tips for dealing with Hecklers? No doubt you've had a few smartasses trying to be funny or put themselves over during a match or an entrance?
@TilWeMakeIt4 жыл бұрын
Hey Gerry, this is a great question. Especially in an era of social media, there are more and more people at live events (of all kind) that are there to put themselves over, at the expense of the show/the talent/the organization. I would say the real trick is to disarm them, but in a charming way. If it comes off as nasty, the crowd will turn on the performance, and get behind the heckler even more. And that will only embolden them further. An interesting guy to watch for this is British stand-up Jimmy Carr. He alternates between being playful (which comes off as charming and good-natured) and being quite savage with hecklers.
