Sir, pls tell us about how to approach the chapter on local revolts before 1857.. There are many more.. Segregated between peasant, tribal and civil.. In mains there is no particular question on it.. But in pre some questions do come.. It takes lot of of my time and still I get confused..

• A few revision techniques that might aid your preparation:- - Progressive and cumulative revision technique (revise previous topics/subjects that you studied yesterday before revising today's topic). - Parallel revision technique (study daily 3-4 subjects or more in small time frames so that nothing is left behind). - Active revision through your study partner (ask him questions and ask him to ask you questions. - Revision through the question paper (attempt a prelims or mains paper and see if you can solve them. If not, change the study material. Your aim should be to cover the UPSC syllabus and PYQs and not a book. Learn from somewhere else). - Study time should be 60%-70% of your total study time. Revision time should be at least 30%-40% of your total study time. Remember, if you are not revising you are not studying. - Do at least 3-4 revisions of your notes. After that, you'll require just a glance at your notes and you'll remember everything. - After reading a subject/topic for some time, close the book/study material and try to recall what you've just studied. This will improve your memory and will help you in real exam. - It is said that the best way to revise things is to pen them down in your notebook. Write answers as much as possible. Don't be panic. Bipin chandra is simple to understand because it is in story formate. And spectrum is easy to revise because it is in point formate. I will sugest you to read bipin chandra first to understand and then jump on spectrum and whenever you want to revise modern history then revise only from spectrum.

Ncert ke book main agar publication year 2019-20 se aage ho to wo nayi edition hoti hai , wo ncert book aap kharid sakte ho , waise bhi unme koi jada difference nahi hota.

@@mehrosh9942 History Le sakte ho GS paper - 1 is almost all about history (post independence) and prelims mein bhi it helps a lot. Aur agar optional Lena hai toh bhi bahut acha hai. In prelims it helps quiet decent average 15 questions toh direct history se hote hi hai.
