Poori is an indian fried bread served with korma, chicken curry and so on...to create wonderful crispy and puffy poori create the dough over night and refrigerate...poori's are so dam addictive its specially prepared during monsoon at my home...

Lovely soft and fluffy pooris Vidya, but just a word of suggestion, try adding a handful of semolina (rava) while kneading the dough it will come out even more tastier. Otherwise a great video. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍

I mixed with banana with making puri bread , it is not original though yet it is delicious indeed thank you for the original recipes

Hi there, thank you for the great instructions, one question, how long do we need to let the flour dough sit? I failed from making it. Only the last few pooris I made were puffed up. :(

Thanks for mention that No wondering I failed it bahahah 😂 I didn’t sit the dough just fried it straight away after made it the result was only few puffed up at the end. If you keep it I. The fridge for over night it needs to be fried after it turns back to room temperature. 👌 good luck 😉

When heating the oil place it on low once it reaches temp place on high. Make sure you roll out and reserve enough poori for frying once the oil is ready if not the oil will burn and pooris won't turn out good. We fry it on high then shift it to low while pooris are getting rolledout.

2 cups maida and 1 cup wheat flour.

what is maida it is semolina flour ?

maida is all purpose flour or refined flour this flour has high gluten :)

***** I love your videos, but something is wrong with your microphone setup. Your voice is always very loud and difficult to understand because it sounds like you are peaking/overloading your microphone. This could be that the microphone is too close to your mouth or that your levels are set up wrong on your recording device. I always have to turn my volume down very far whenever going to your videos. Again, love your content, but you might want to look into your microphone situation.
