My mom taught me to pack an "Oh Crap Bag" lol everything important, like documents and such, valuable items and pictures go in a bag that sits near the basement door. In Minneapolis we mostly worry about tornados, so when the sirens go off, you say oh crap, then grab your bag and pets. Great video Tim

Very good advice, thank you Tim. I was advised to buy a generator for the winter. There is a lot to consider to keep people safe. Hurricane Helena has been devastating to those people and animals in its path.

Man I’m from upstate SC, and I have a question on humidity and how to drop humidity without power😂 we’ve been without power for 5 days. Nobody was prepared for this storm here and def not in north and South Carolina and Tennessee, they’re telling us it’ll be Friday before we will have power and I have a Cali kingsnake in this South Carolina humidity and it’s too damn high. Temp is okay I just need to find a way to decrease it it’s in the 70’s here humidity wise

Also, what’s good? Is those hot things that Hunter is put in their shoes to keep their feet warm that’s good in case you have to evacuate or you have no electricity in the winter to keep your reptiles warm.
@IntrepidExoticsАй бұрын
Absolutely, many of us keep those on hand for transporting and emergencies

What can I do if I need to evacuate with my burmese that is not aloud
@IntrepidExoticsАй бұрын
There's two choices: adhere to the laws of the state in which you reside, or change the state in which you reside and then follow those laws. If you need to know specifics on how to relocate/evacuate your animals you need to speak to the regulating/enforcement agency in your area to determine what your options are.

Hey I live in tennesser so the rltrees should all be similar what kind of trees can I not let my boa go outside and climb on. I know pine amd cedar is toxic I just don't want to end up making my boa sick or even kill it trying to take her outside and climb for some enrichment
@IntrepidExoticsАй бұрын
That's a good question I've never really thought about. I've a couple large pines in my yard that my big male climbed around on one day with no ill effect, although it wasn't dripping sap or anything. I know it's said we should steer clear of pine bedding but I don't have an educated enough opinion on what trees could be harmful if climbed on outdoors, only anecdotal knowledge that I've never heard of one getting sick from climbing outdoors.

Yeah I've researched types to say clear of and what effects it would have but haven't had much luck on finding anything out about it. That's good to know nothing happened to your snake I'm wondering almost if it's similar to an old wife's tale or myth as long as there is not sap dripping out of the tree obviously.

Out here in Rural AZ, we ALWAYS have a documents & irreplaceables GO BAG for fire season. I also built 1 hour/30 minute/15 minute fire storm evacuation bullet point lists - because you know the old saying about panic: when in danger, and in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. 🫨😵💫🤯🙄
