I love you Tim and it's always a good day when I see you've posted a video. I feel very strongly about right and wrong and morality as well as animal husbandry just as you do. I too am not a stuff or money person and cannot be bought. You are beloved, by me, anyway, for whatever that may be worth.

the world needs a lot more content like this. thanks for showcasing the right way while focusing on the relationship <3 that's been the most rewarding part of snake keeping for me. my girl won't ever reach retic size, but because i treat her with the same respect i would a snake of great size, we have a lot of trust built. and lemme tell ya, having to fetch a snake that's gotten themselves into mischeif is much much much easier with a snake that's like oh its you, tell No One but also...halp. vs something that's never known respectful human hands? one comes with a lot lower odds of getting bitten and spoiler it isn't the terrified poop machine of a native garter snake that somehow got into the bucket in the garage.

Just wanted to make one swift comment on your next video.... Check the Depth gage man... Your in a place of depth that may be a bit too real for world as it has become.

Any tips for blood pythons? I work with one thats just always in a bad mood. Always striking. I try to get her into the same frame of mind as i do others, but she so difficult.
@IntrepidExoticsКүн бұрын
Some of em can be spicy for sure, but I've found that regardless of the species the same handling principles apply, barring anything venomous of course. The more reactive snakes simply take more patience, more time, and more confidence...often more blood LOL.

Thanks for making a video to support the FL snake guys. Horrific tragedy! Those guys wanted so badly to obey the law and they were repaid so cruelly. Sickening!

What wattage of radiant thermal pad do you have that is warm enough through the wood?

The bask is below the rhp, atop the shelf is just a secondary warm spot

I don’t get this “hobby”. These are potentially lethal animals and that’s when they are handled with the utmost of care and respect. One momentary lapse in concentration could be fatal. Sorry, but not for me.

There should be no poisonous exotics allowed in the US. Florida is testament to what happens when this is allowed. The Florida everglades have been taken over by exotics. Reptiles are not pets.

Please learn about a topic before attempting to speak on it, I have zero respect for people spewing opinions on what others should be able to do based on your own personal dislikes or misunderstandings. Whether you like it or not, reptiles most certainly are pets.

I had one...up til i was put onto 14 hrs shift at work... so had to sadly rehome him. I was really sad. He was just under 5 feet, and starting to show interest in the world outside his viv. I'd never keep another. They're not suited to life in captivity. Anyone who thinks otherwise, is lying to themselves.
@IntrepidExotics11 күн бұрын
Opinions vary, your experience is not the cumulative experience of every keeper, it's yours. If you can't keep them, don't. Disparaging the ability for anyone else to keep isn't justified.
@Drquimbaymatumbo7 күн бұрын
@IntrepidExotics if i cant keep them....i was keeping them 20 years ago. Truth seems to have triggered you mate.... whats up?
@IntrepidExotics7 күн бұрын
You said they aren't suited for captivity, I disagreed, what's with the ridiculous "triggered" crap? There are rational world views beside your own.
@Drquimbaymatumbo7 күн бұрын
@IntrepidExotics so you think a Nile monitor is suited to captivity???? Wow! 🤣🤣🤣 And you're all upset and spat your dummy, because i respectfully disagreed? So what you mean really, is you want a dictatoship channel where they all suck your dick and no one dare challenge your ideas. Speaks volumes about you really.

I live in SC. It scares me to think my next door neighbor could be improperly keeping highly venomous snakes without my knowledge. There’s a line that needs to be drawn here. I mean, I like reptiles and all, but I like to control my personal risk whenever possible. Owning venomous snakes should require training and a federal license to own them.

just watched the video and you people talk about the snakes like they are a dog ,cat or pet rabbit , these snakes are not pets they are wild animals , and no one that i know can go into the wild and capture these animals and call them pets , why are people allowed to have dangerous deadly snakes and call them a pet , look what pet snakes have done to the state of Florida when they get loose , and you people have deadly snakes in neighbor hoods with children playing and you see nothing wrong with this , wow amazing , you are putting people in danger of possible death , you should not be allowed to do that in this country , really deadly snakes like that should be banned anyone that has them should place signs all around there home letting others know that they are there and living next door to them , and i know everyone that keeps them will say oh dont worry they caint get out , BS , never say never !!!!! you are putting everyone in a danger that they should never have to worry about in this country with have these snakes in neighbor hoods and having a chance of getting out .

Your lack of understanding does not a valid point make. You probably wave your flag about your "rights", but when it comes to something you don't understand it's "screw everyone else" right? Seems to me you should learn about something before ranting about it. This whole American idea that opinions based in ignorance is somehow valid is getting old...

@@IntrepidExotics Many years ago when I was a kid, I had a fairly large green iguana. I sadly sold it when I left my parents home. It would really tear my arms sometimes, sometimes I could see tiny pieces of my skin falling to the floor. If I got a big lizard today, I would look for something like what they wear with falcons. Now I am back in the hobby but I think and hope I can stick with my anoles and timor monitor lol. Very cool lizard you have.

They are about to cull the California mule deer on Catalina Island. It’s really sad, they have been on the island for over a hundred years. I think it’s more political bull. I’ve heard that it’s for a winery.

I always enjoy your videos Tim! I continue to learn new things every time I see a new video. I have Burmese pythons, Reticulated Pythons, Carpet Pythons, Ball Pythons, Dumeril’s Python, an Emerald Tree Boa, Amazon Tree Boa, Brazilian Rainbow Boa, Red Tailed Boa. My Amazon is my most spicy! He is still small so the bites aren’t terrible. I’ve been using some of your techniques and they are working!!! Yay!! Thanks for sharing your vast knowledge of the animals! I love all of my babies!!!
