How to Preserve DIY Ballistics Gel

DIY ballistics gel will mold unless you do something to preserve it I chose salt, however I believe bleach would have worked as well and perhaps kept it just as clear. Bleach may have also reduced the "cow" smell.

What effect does adding the salt have on the gels ballistics resistance? LOL Did I ask that correctly?Salt water is heaver than water. NDR

That is a good question. I don't think it would change it by much, but I will go test it some time. It would be a good use for this gel. I was wondering what to do with this gel now that I have the real stuff.
