Should you see the fabric imprint in the dtf when finished pressing like you do when you press htv? Or should it be completely smooth without that fabric texture showing?

You should see the vertical fabric lines. This shows that you are using enough pressure.

You don't "need" it but butcher paper works as a finishing sheet. You will typically get more of a matte finish using butcher.

Hi. I have a question, what is the purpose of second press after you cold peel the transfer? Is doing the 2nd press really necessary? Thank you.

Some people do it, some people don't. Is it necessary? if you have a good heat press with heavy pressure, you might be able to get away with not doing the 2nd press. The ONLY way to know for sure is to do a wash test afterwards and see if there is an improvement. If the transfer wrinkles after the wash, then you don't have enough pressure

for cold peeling, typically around 12-15s. If you have a good heat press with adequate pressure, you can peel sooner.

Better for dark-colored fabrics: DTF printing can print on dark-colored fabrics more easily and with better color vibrancy compared to DTG. Longer lasting prints: DTF inks are typically more durable and can withstand multiple washings without fading or cracking. No pre-treatment required: Unlike DTG, DTF does not require pre-treatment of the fabric, which can save time and money. More versatile: DTF can be used to print on a wider range of fabrics, including synthetic fabrics, whereas DTG is limited to natural fabrics like cotton.
