This is very helpful info, thank you! I’ve had this problem with my horse and I didn’t like the idea of just tying her up and letting her figure it out. These are some great exercises I can do to help her learn the right answers without hurting herself.

This is good. My OTTB was at the wash rail and pulled back all of a sudden and snapped the clip on her lead rope in half. Fortunately, she didn't run away. But it scared both of us. I don't want this to become a habit now.

Hey I have a mare and I tied her to my horse trailer and she pulled back but did not escape. And then the next day I tied her to one of my panels and I think she pulled back even harder because she did not escape the first time. She sill did not get out but ruined my whole panel I had to replace it. She has never had a problem tieing before and she's 15. She also did it out of no were. What sould I do? I haven't tied her since

My horse is extremely pushy to anyone who's not me. When they're on the ground I've told them to push back if she pushes them, but it doesn't seem to help them, she does it with other people in the saddle too, but not me. Any idea why she does this to other people but not me? I want her to be a horse everyone can ride and lead not just me.

My horse is old and very good desensited. No trick worksnon him. He knows if i tie him, then he goes mental. Anything else like this he doesnt care and just stand

Hi were you skedaddle Shae to lower her head and sidepass or take a step back when you ask for a step back....I understand but don't we want them to step forward to the pressure so should I ask my boy to drop his head and submit but then take a step forward? Would this be OK or preferred if I can get him to step forward?

Very helpful! I have a 7 year old TB who pulls back on occasion and absolutely flips out if things get wrapped around his legs. I feel like these exercises will kill two birds with one stone.

A horse needs to know how to tie before being tied. I know, that sounds crazy. But it is true.
