Good tip! It also helps to rub the screw threads on a bar of soap

Soap collects water from the air leading to corrosion. I suggest using soft wax instead. M any cheeses come wrapped in such soft wax.

@@danstotland6386 Exactly, Dan. Soap can lead to corrosion. I often rub the screw threads on an old candle that's too short for the candlestick. Thanks!
