Almost exactly what I thought! It’s nice to get some confirmation.

Right, and the same type of thinking can be used to add diffused highlights where you'd like them to be.

Great video! Thank you. I found it challenging when photographing a child with glasses, outdoors. It was shaded, but I had to get him to tilt his head slighty, to avoid reflections. I'm really looking forward to trying the perspex. My dog won't lick it, regardless what I smear on it lolz - she's spoilt 🤣🐕🐾🐶🥰 Thanks again 😊

Hello your video was excellent. I have a Photobox which has the external flash attached to the top, therefore I can’t separate the light from the camera they are always at the same angle. Can I use the same solution point camera and flash at subjects from an angle will it work ?
@pattymattes71242 жыл бұрын
When we, our photography team, did Easter portraits with not much space to work with we would have those who wear glasses to tilt their face slightly downward. That eliminated the reflection and we didn't have to move the light setup.

Brilliant thanks 🙏 Where did you get your easel? I need to take photos of my frames and artwork for my website but not sure how to/on what to place them 🧐 thanks!!

Hi Roxane, Thank you so much 🙏 I'm afraid we can't remember where we purchased the easel from 🤦♀️ it was quite a while ago

Hello always precise, sorry for my bad English. In the photos of dogs with licking on plexiglass the photographer is very close and it is difficult to avoid reflections, even by positioning the lights correctly

Thank you for sharing this 😊very helpful.. If you don't mind me asking the screen on top of your camera, what are they called? As I have been finding it difficult to photograph some bunnies as Iike to get down to there level to photograph them at eye level using my 50mm lens, would help no ends with my back 😂 and neck.. As I don't like to move too much stuff where the bunnies are and try and contort my body to get the shots..

Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏 The screen on top of the camera is just there to record my screens, I don't use it when I'm not shooting for you guys to see 😊

@@ThatPhotographySpot No worries... Your providing your knowledge for free online its a great thing your doing in a world like we live in today 🌍😊.. Cool so your using your view finder Do you ever use live view? I have seen you have animal eye detection on your camera. I have tried eye detection when shooting rabbits it's very hit and miss like you say. 👁️😉

This works well for flat surfaces, but what would you suggest for rounded ones where regardless of how you position the light an area of the rounded surface will always reflect toward the camera?

And, don't forget to consider the position of your ambient light; windows, roof bulbs, lamps, or the big ball of fire if you're outside; all these will also give you gyp with reflections if you don't think about their on off status and position when you set up.

The only problem I have tho.. is that moving the light also moves my shadows.. it's pretty easy on a flat surface because there's no shadows being cast.. But in a portrait, if I move the light, I'll have moved my shadows and most of the times make the whole thing really light on one side and dark on the other 😢
