This is such awesome advice!! I would really love to see an expense/income breakdown with some example numbers just to see how you calculate an income for yourself. Hope that makes sense!

I work from home rn and I charge $75 for a enzyme facial and $90 for microdermabrasion a lot of people charge $100+ for microdermabrasion also what I just learned from another seasoned esthi is to put 2-3 pumps of product in a dish or cup and that’s how u need for a facial and u won’t spend so much on replacing products or overuse plus we only need a little like a nickel size anyways when using products on the face I had the problem as well of apply too much of the mask so that was helpful for me to premeasure what I can and enzymes I use a teaspoon

Yeah that’s really smart! That’s why I use those little white palettes because it keeps me from using to much product!

Which state are you? Even if you work from home you shouldn't lower your standards if you know your services are top notch you should charge accordingly. Unless you only have a bed with a few products but if you have a nice little room or set all your stuff in your living room nicely people will pay for the ones that think you charge too much it's their business. I have clients that will pay over $200 for a facial because they I gave them the best and it could be way more expensive if they go to a med spa

Hello! I’ve been following you for some time now and I just graduated from esthetician school. I am currently working at a spa and I am having issues with clientele. I do have returning clients which is good but I would love to put my name out there more. Do you have a video or have any advice for upcoming esthetician in need of clientele? Thank you so much! ☺️

Yay congrats for graduating for one, but also I do have a marketing video posted from a little bit ago! the main thing I talk about is take advantage of all social medias if you could! Like if you’re allowed to have your own social media and post everything you can!

Yes I’m only a month in and I already stopped the discounts and when my punch cards run out I’m going to reroute what I give on there because that’s also a way of me under selling myself I was doing facials for $25 like I was still in school nope 🤣

A rule of thumb I follow for my business is to not underprice any service that is an hour long to less than $100.

Thank you for this info and figuring out prices, but even for Illinois your prices are way too low. Charge your worth luv. Quality over quantity.

This video was two years ago and pricing keeps changing drastically with inflation, but I live in a suburb of Chicago where the common price for a facial is around $100-$125 which is what I charge now in 2024
