How to prime a common well pump. Sorry it’s not more general. I made the video for a certain set of special people.

Man. This video was an absolute lifesaver. I can't thank you enough. I haven't showered in 4 days and Hurricane Ian took out our water. I knew it had to be something with the pressure differential but I've been trying all day. I was checking the switches and valves and then I ran across this. I tried it and lo and behold, I have water again. Amazing. You are the best and put a nice light to end of a very very rough day. Thank you!!!

Just lost water. It could be other things, but I checked prime first. I turned the breaker off, shut the valve to the house off, took off the gauge, poured about a half gallon in (no more than that, maybe less), and it filled up. I wanted to see if it would go down and it didn't. I waited a while longer and just put the gauge back on. I have no idea what's happening. The pump apparently had been running nonstop for a while. I'm hoping it didn't burn up.

Hopefully this’ll work, we just had a freeze that froze up our pipes. So when things thaw out, I hope that this’ll get things back up and running. 🤞🏻

Just poured around 15 gallons with the valve off. Wondering if I should keep going or not

Hard to say. Each water well is different. It's possible that a given well could require much more.

This did not work for me so I unscrewed the top plug and put water in there and got it primed and working.
