largely speaking, there's two aspects to a car wrap from what I can determine, the graphics and the installation. I am more interested in the graphics aspects because that's my expertise as an illustrator. Doing work on a paint software like Photoshop or Procreate and then moving it to Illustrator to turn it into a vector graphics. I'm interested how does this come into play, when I work on a 1:1 ratio (full size graphics); for example, say I'm interested in doing a Honda Civic Sports Coup 2020. If I use a google image of a side profile, it's not really 1:1, and it's not a vector graphic, it's going to most likely be a jpeg. If I blow up the image to a 1:1 ratio, it will quickly pixelate poorly. So how does the graphic artist begin? Is there a template/blueprint of the Honda Civic that a person can buy? That way I can work inside the lines at full scale? How does the team's graphic artist begin his process?
