How to Print for Sublimation with Sawgrass Creative Studio - MyExpert Tutorial

I CAN NOT get this sawgrass to print from the new creative studio. The original will print but not the new . This is an obvious problem reading comments on sawgrass videos here . It’s extremely frustrating since no one at sawgrass replies . I was on hold for 4 hours .

Hi, just got my sg1000 with truepix classic paper A3. I did my first print - it printed 2 sheets when I wanted only 1, also after pressing a shirt, it left a yellow square on the shirt around the image and the image was faded... Please can you help me? did I press at the wrong temp, did I press it to hot? did I print on the wrong side of the paper? The paper has no logo's or any markings to let me know which way it should go... Thanks

You can use any graphic design program you want - like Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw, etc. CreativeStudio is just the free web-based program that's free for all Sawgrass users. To send your own artwork, you'll need to use Sawgrass Print Manager. That is something different and is used for processing graphics to send to the printer.

Hi There just bought a SG800 and cant sort how to print borderless , i have an Epson WF7720 and that has a tick box for borderless cant find anything similar on the SG800 i am doing Jigsaws so need borderless any help would be great thanks

Sawgrass SG printers do not have a borderless option. The margin is roughly 0.2" on either side.

Hi Stephanie! Sublimation prints will always look faded until you press them. Sublimation ink is heat activated :)

Curious...why did you change the paper to Tex-Print R?

It's usually best to select a paper profile that either matches your paper, or is as close as possible. We use TexPrint-R and TexPrint-XPHR for 99% of all our sublimation demos, so we set ours to TexPrint-R.

@@HeatPressNation do you know which setting would be closest to A-Sub paper? Also, my sublimation are faded on one side of my tumblers. I’m using a convection oven at 400° for 7 minutes. I tried turning tumbler half way through (3.5 minutes each side) but then my black color came out light brown. Did I leave it in for too long?

I can not change the measurements on my designs? If I wanted to change the height of my to name 1" and the width 9". The new version of the Sawgrass Creative Studio will not allow you to do this. The old version you could change the measurement

Why does your image come out bright instead of faded?

It just depends on the colors of your image. However, all prints will appear slightly faded/desaturated fresh out of the printer. It's only when you heat press your transfers will they "activate" and get their signature vibrant colors. But you also want to be sure to use the Sawgrass Print Manager to ensure your prints come out looking their very best.

No orange guide lines on my version, sorry but very hard to learn if the screen and the images do not match the ones that we are trying to follow. video defeats the purpose of learning, and when you use the images that are needing a subscription us newbies are not there yet. use the ones that are free.but thanks

Sawgrass Creative Studio is constantly being updated to better serve Sawgrass users. As a result, some images may have different availability and some features may appear slightly different from when this video was recorded. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Losing $ with this new program overly complicated can’t find basic features about to just cut loses and sell equipment bring back the old program
