Greetings! I have a manley core routed to a Distressor. when I play the track I get signal but when I print it the channel waves stays the same. I'm using the method of printing by a audio track not a Aux track I'm using a Apollo twin. Is this the reason why is not working ? Please help I've tried everything.

BTW did you know by pressing and holding the HF compressor button for more than 7secs it will turn into a LMC compressor...

Route your Mon L/R in your Apollo I/o matrix to Channel 1 and 2 in! (Change it with you Mic 1 and 2) Then go to your video rec software and select your uad interface only as the Audio input. Done! Now you can talk while tweaking the fusion and everything… Cheers

The difference between "plugins & hardware" is subtle either one is good if you know what you're doing...and I have 32 channels of 500-Series Modules and an ssl fusion etc etc..all tools work.

Thanks for the video. I still have a problem that I dont get any signal from SSL fusion to my Audient id44 mk ii interface. I use Logic and settings are in logic Ok. I plugged cables from Audient outputs 3-4 to SSL inputs, from interface outputs 1-2 goes to monitors. From SSL Outputs i connected to Audient Mic 1 and 2 inputs. In id mixer there are signals in DAW 1+2, DAW 3+4 and in Mic 1 and 2. I changed in routing panel every knobs to main mix. The signal above BYPASS button in SSL is very low and it sounds that nothing happens to the track if I turn knobs in SSL. in logic I did everything, I created the I/O plugin to main track, chose 3-4 in output section and 1-2 in input section and pressed ping, created auxbus, created new track for printing..when printing I see only the straight line in a track and it seems it prints empty only.

Good video fam. You don’t have to make the bus channel to print with your SSL though but I know a lot of people do it differently.

so does the SSL fusion master the entire song just on its own? if it does i'd drop 2k on it but i have no idea what all i need to even get it started. does it need a specific interface does it need specific power? how can i just throw stems through it? so many questions.

Why did you choose the SSL Fusion over say Manley, Dangerous D box, Warm audio or Neve? Also comparing your mixes with the SSL Fusion vs your in box UAD mixes what differences are you hearing?

the ssl fusion helps with my mixes when comes to drive, clarity and color. I use the uad stuff during the mixing process. i use mostly the ssl when mastering.

Like your videos. I am about to purchase an SSL Fusion. I use studio one as a daw d can't wait to try this. They say the only negative is the drive module is noisey is that true ?

if your talking about the vintage drive on the ssl then all i have to say is try it for yourself and find out. the SSL FUSION is by far one of the best things i ever invested in for my studio. it deff makes a difference but once you learn how to use it in each mix, it does exactly what its meant to do. the routing is simple. the only difference is the logic ins and out are different than the uad ins and outs. had to adjust according to which ins and outs i am using but everything works perfectly for me and easy now.

Curious, why not put the SSL fusion on your stereo Mixbus? Why print track? Just use the I/O plug on the mixbus and bounce in real time. Or does that not work?

you can do both. sometimes its better to print it so you will have a processed version of the track incase you change the settings on ssl for use on another track.

@@citytonightproductions i usually use ssl as a send buss in mixes, but when mastering, its the first step i take, then in box plug ins are after. outboard first then plugins. you will enjoy it once you have it! worth every penny!

Hey bro. I was just wondering from your video about the set up of having the Fusion and the Apollo interface on top of it regarding heat inside the rack. I want yo have them together (I have the apollo x8 and getting the Fusion this saturday) and decided to get a 4U space rack to have a 1U space between them. this feels like a silly question bro.. when you are printing it, do you then bounce out both audio tracks? (the first unprocessed, and then the recorded track?) or would you solo the audio track you printed and bounce it out? i am trying to understand what is being printed on to the processed track. thanks for the help dude

yes when bouncing audio using outboard gear, you can go about it 2 ways. either print (rerecord) the audio that is being processed onto a new single track so you can bounce offline, or you can bounce online and the bounced track will have the processed outboard gear that was used. remember, when dealing with outboard gear, everything must be bounced in real-time unless the audio has been printed (rerecorded) onto a new track.
