How I process my VOCALS with the SSL FUSION using LOGIC PRO X

I got the same processor; I'm struggling to get a good vocal recording sound on my home studio because it does not have the depth and clarity I'm aiming for. I got the neve 1073 and it cuts through the mix, but it needs more life. I was thinking a week ago to process the music trough the SSL Fusion and printed and then record the voice and process it on the Fusion and then printed back to the session and just mix the result two tracks. After seeing your video, I definitely trying this and see where it takes me. Thank you for sharing your process flow.

How do you make the DAW understand that you want to process only the vocals ? I mean , can you process only the vocals in the context of the whole mix , while everything is playing , or vocals must be always in solo cause you are applying the effects to the whole song ? Thanks !

i export separate stems for mastering. i export vocals by themselves and the beat by its self

@@rmoniz92 Thats what i thought , but this way you cant understand what are you doing to the stem in the context of the whole mix .. i would like to work on the lyrics with analog gear while listening to the other styff without affecting it with the gear .. is that even possible ? Would you ever process the vocals through the ssl then bring it back blend it over the beat and run the whole thing (including the new already processed vocals) back through the ssl one final time?
