So grateful for you uploading this, there's not too many specialist vocal producer tutorials online. It's usually producers who do a little mixing on the vocals, but never someone who goes through the correct way of Tuning, Aligning, etc.

I really love the automatic vocal alignment and the easy harmony function in Cubase, highly recommend for this task... massive timesaver!! ❤

Crazy. This kind of content like mix with the masters is invaluable. You used to have to intern and find work in a studio for years to gain all of this knowledge. What a blessing

God manual crossfading Pro tools vocals. I remember doing that. That's why I switched to Ableton. Automatic cross fades. So amazing.

Great video. Although I think it might already be a bit outdated because chances are that Louis is now using VocAlign to sync up those backing vocals and harmonies much quicker.

@AndroidGamingApps The guy uses a laptop that's not connected to the internet to prevent leaks, on the course you can see he starts his ideas on a modern Razer laptop but when it's time to cut vocals he switches to the clone one, kinda interesting to see lol

I love this. Does this program have the ability to keep the vocal from sounding like an effect or tuned? If I was to get this for vocals, would the essentials be worth starting with?
@DamienReign

It’s a lot more transparent then autotune is but imo your retune speed has a lot to do with that computer sound. It’s the speed in the note translations that does that. The best way to correct that is tighting up the timing in the performance.. practicing as an artist then editing it properly. Just my 2 cents
@AndroidGamingApps
@AndroidGamingApps 2 ай бұрын
Nope, if the vocal needs a lot of tuning to fix it, it will sound like auto-tune. So you'll need to record the take again. But yeah, Melodyne can make natural sounding vocals and robotic ones as well

I love the video and it's really interesting to watch but it's such a label approach. I mean it's only possible when you have the whole team behind you that does all the work for you. If you're DIY artist and make your music on your own it's too time consuming and almost too polished. I'm just trying to say that it's really cool to have the opportunity to peep how professionals work and maybe take some notes but overall you absolutely don't need to do it that way.

have you come across any videos for a simple must do? I kinda just want a list/review of most common vocal effects so I can mess around with them.
@jeffvibesmusic
@jeffvibesmusic 6 ай бұрын
@@CH-fb4lz yea I have. Waves has video on their channel with the mixing engineer that mixed Neon Guts by Uzi and Pharrell. I used to use his chain a lot. It may seem a little complicated but you can pick up the basics of why certain plugins go after other and just basically replace all of the plugins with stock ones. I've simplified my chain since that and changed some plugins but the core base is still the same.

It’s amazing to see this. And his vocal engineering skill is insane. But gosh I dislike that sound. It makes it sound like an episode of Glee. I can hear the tuning on almost every notes (Melodyne + Autotune here I feel). But it’s quite impressive being able to do that so fast.

I was hoping this would go over performance so we don't have to use this crap. Of course that would take years of consistency and practice lol. Not just a few hours of tutorials. To death with the grid is the only way forward.
