Interesting. Back in the 70/80s I worked for an Entertainment Woodworkers, basic we built speaker cabinets, disco desks, record boxes etc. Either under our own name or on contract for major amp manufacturers, including a well known a Japanese amp. They used ship the works in from Japan . At the time I think we were the only cabinet makers using contact adhesive other company were using PVA . Two tools we found useful were for fiddly bit a pair of nail scissors and for flatting joints a wallpaper roller

Would you recomend carpeting walls on van for camper where I am planning to live longer? Even winter ..... I use to live in T5 with girlfriend and I must say we were fighting a lot of moisture .... I am afraid that carpet start to mildew (I'm not sure about that word but I mean mold). Cheers.

Can you put carpet over a hinge? Part of mine has hinges and I want to know if I need to cut around it

I have done in the past on a simple box yes. Just make sure the carpet it trimmed at the edges so it doesn't stretch, or wrinkle
