Thanks for the excellent video on how to determine the proper tension spring to buy ! I like how you can email the company a picture of your garage door, and they'll let you know exactly what spring you need to buy ! I couldn't believe how fast they responded with the spring I needed ! Plus they shipping it out immediately ! You guys are the best, and I plan on telling anyone who'll listen to me 🤣

GUYS BEWARE this is NOT how you measure the wire size or the length ... if you measure the wire size this way on an actual broken spring then the broken spring is going to give you a totally wrong reading because it will be warped and out of shape making it impossible to measure. my guess is he took a good spring and then cut it for demonstration purposes. What i was able to do was use the spring that was still good and go off that one. do not measure off the bad spring you will get a totally wrong reading. Also you need to check the ends of the springs to see if its painted yellow, green, blue, white, green, gold, or tan. Then you need to look at both ends and see if they have black or red paint that will determine if theyre left or right wound. This guys videos threw me through a whirl wind of frustration!
