Sure, it's just human behaviour. Granted it might not happen in every single market, but different variations of this kinda thing routinely play out. Trading is all about playing the probabilities and riding the long-term wave. A key charachteristic of the markets is human behaviour - very profitable.

Not that this is anyway the point of the video, but I'm always interested how these things pan out. For those interested, the one in the 4th column Bramble Queen actually won at 16/1 (their odds though actually paid 35.80 on their tote system), with Oledon the original favourite 2nd at 3/5 with their odds. The big gamble went out at 8/5 (by their odds) and didn't figure. @@CaanBerryProTrader I do agree. yesterday i won 20 Matches. the day before i won 8 matches. yes, its not everyday we win. i did mistake too. but in long term the result will be possitive between 5-20%

I watched this vid and finally was able to do my first trade with more than 1-2 tics movement on the 16:35 at Deauville by comparing how the second favourite was moving \o/ My God...it has taken a good few weeks for me to do this. I actually saw what you were talking about. Hahah first one! Hope I can spot more! Dont think it was exactly an overreaction but it was a larger move than I usually am able to do!

I look at interaction between runners but I find that sometimes the betfair charts being on 10 second updates can sometimes be showing a wrong direction, it looks like start of an opposing direction move but isn't, also not any time scales.

Arthur Dodd true. The betfair chart isn’t perfect but as @caan says, there a few indicators that you can look at to confirm where you should put your money. I look at the general direction of the betfair chart, recent money matched and where the money is stacked as well as where other horses are moving on the overview chart. Get all of these lined up and going in the direction you foresee, you tend to get a good strike rate

Hi Caan, quick question about min betting. If I enter the market with a min bet on BETDAQ (50p) then close the trade for a 1 tick the profit is usually around 1p but profit with greening is shown as 0p as the fraction post greening is too low to even count as a penny. My question is what happens to all the fractions of a pence that get created when trades are greened? Do Betdaq keep all these half pennies in a jar on the window ledge like me or do they accrue in my account til I reach a full 1p then get credited. Individual pennies aren’t that important til you take into account the fact that if they go into BETDAQs pocket then all my positive 1 tick trades are actually negative trades. If this is the price I pay for training then fair dos but if I can avoid it causing me a loss I’d be much happier.
