Love it, had a good day today where I made about £50 trading greyhounds, actually used your video from couple years ago so compare with racing post before I get involved, went to one race on £30 stake at 9.6 and got out at 5.4ish with £23.8 profit, rest was averaging £5 per race. Having good success in the greyhounds using the video pack & with this video, thanks. Learned quick though to always use the main hedge out option, or take sp on all (when waiting for an exit to be filled), before the start. To help save an open bet occurring due to an entry trade not being hedged up.

Yes, these style races have very low liquidity so a lot of the action is very late on. Beauty of the nags is that it comes a lot earlier, although like I say, there's a huge amount that can be learned from these and then translated over elsewhere.

Good to know I’m already kind of on the right track. I avoid betting in races when the favourite is well backed and when its horses I also pick based on a number of factors form, jockeys, ground, stalls, trainers, if blinkers applied and always read the description of the horse for example one love finished 3 lengths behind punkrocker in the last outing at kempton. May have more to give. Cheekpieces applied. last factor I love is if a horse has been switched from hurdles to flat and vice versa. I’m a complete novice at trading though so your videos will definitely expand my betting experience. Cheers 👍

I do have a question though i see most people just hedge up can take there profits but what if you didnt do that and let it run as a free bet? so you would not loose anything if it lost but would get allot more if it won, if is it better just to hedge up and take smaller profit?

They’ll almost certainly just pepper people with casino/virtual sports marketing. Some are even offering markets on chess - perhaps you’ll have to brush up on your chess Can and trade that 😂

Thanks for these £10 stake training vids which are useful to see how things work for new traders , however , it's rarely memtioned on KZbin that once you start using stakes that are worth bothering with eg £50+ on dogs and maybe £100 on horses , it starts to impact the market , bots , other £2 punters jumping in front etc. How would you play the dogs in reality ? Great vid all the same.

I did mention it's not ideal for larger stakes and not about the money, didn't I? That's what I meant. However, you can learn a lot from this and then translate it over the nags for example. Large stakes do start to impact the market yes. Typically on the horses, you don't have to worry until around the 200 mark though. Depends on the situation and liquidity. With the dogs its typically safe for 10-20 a click up to 50 or so, then when there is volume you can go bigger but it really depends on how aggressive the market is behaving.

It's certainly possible, Tony. With nothing else to focus on I suspect some will be doing that already. If there is huge amounts of revenue to be made im not sure but it will certainly help.

What time of year was this because it seems to me that there is no where near this amount of liquidity on dog races anymore. I saw one race had like £18k matched like 10 minutes before the off? That's simply unheard of while I've been watching these markets (about two years). The vast majority of the money now comes in the last few minutes and £20k is about the average total matched with some smaller meetings struggling to even get 5k or 6k matched per race. That second race reached £70k matched... wtf? Are these markets dying?

Im a sports trader but from what Ive seen of how greyhound owners etc treat their dogs its blatantly disgusting. As you said what happens 'behind closed doors' is in my view, the source of the problem. Too little money means too little concern for these animals and they pay the final price.
