You guys are awesome! After drawing the blood its always best to remove the needle before you put it in the centrifuge tube to help avoid a process called "homolysis". Which is slicing of the red blood cells from the needle. It will alter test results.

Improper blood preparation. 1) Remove the syringe tip to prevent hemolyzing the sample. 2) blood must fully clot before being centrifuged for most accurate results.

And thank you for explaining how to set the information up as well. pipette instructions were awesome. I did write the company when I had a sample that would not separate... they said could be super fatty diet but also to let blood draw sit for 10 minuets and then spin for 10 minutes for best results... yup it clots... hmmm Anyway thank you for sharing, you are good speaker !

With all due respect when you respun, that is not clot, those are triglycerides, meaning that is a very overweight dog you pulled from, I recommend you use tiger top tubes, with e.d.t.a those are just triglycerides, you are correct cells, but not clotted cells, lipids fatty cells, great video

I messed up, I didn’t put my quality control card away and I put the plasma in it instead of the progesterone test. Did I just mess up my quality control card? It was literally my first test. I had my progesterone test out too. But I put it in the wrong card.

The results depend on what machine yu have and the unit of measurement. Some measure in mL and some measure in moles.
