1. Insert a new cut chip key in ignition and turn key to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
2. Within 45 seconds turn the key to OFF and then back to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
3. Within 45 seconds turn the key to OFF and then back to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
4. Turn key OFF then back ON. The key is now programmed. Start vehicle to test key.
This procedure will program a new transponder ignition key to following Cadillac models:
2006 Cadillac DTS
2007 Cadillac DTS
2008 Cadillac DTS
2009 Cadillac DTS
2010 Cadillac DTS
2011 Cadillac DTS

hey if i have a 2007 cadillac dts which i didnt loose my old key but i want to upgrade my key fob to one of the squarish ones with the removable key any suggestions one if i cn do that or not...i see they sell them just didnt know exactly which to get em sice it isnt very specific
