For 2005 ford focus, you only have to turn the key four times. However, your car has to be unlocked and you have to fasten your seatbelt and NOT push the brakes. In the first 10 seconds, you push buttons on each fob that you want to work with your car, and in the 8 seconds after that you push buttons on each fob again to program them. SEATBELT ON BRAKE OFF basically. oh, and you do have to program all of your fobs at once (I think). my first fob stopped working after I programed the second one, and I had to do it all again with both fobs.

Omg thank you for this freakin video!!! I bought a new battery and I tried using the remote and it didn’t work! I went back inside the store and they said I had to reprogram it since it’s been dead for a while. I didn’t know how lol but I looked it up on google, read the steps and it still didn’t work. Hi! I have a Ford Explorer 3 (2004) and all previous key fobs are lost, there is only a physical ignition key. I bought one of the key chains you're talking about. After 7 (or 8) turns of the key, the machine switches to programming mode, but pressing the buttons on the keychain does not lead to anything. Could you tell me if any of the previous key chains are needed to program the next one and what could be wrong in my situation?

PROBLEM: I have two keys, they both can start the car. Key #1 can unlock/lock the car remotely. Key #2 cannot. When I do this method to add Key #2, the buttons work and I can unlock/lock the car with Key #2. BUT then Key #1 buttons will no longer work. So if I do this to get Key #1 to work, Key #2 will stop. I tested a 3rd key and both #1 and #2 stopped working while #3 is doing its job. Help!!!
