How to program Radioddity GD-55 Plus DMR HT

Yes you need a ham license which is easy to get but you’ll have to study online until you feel ready then find out where they test in your area. Usually they test at local fire dept or churches and I think it cost around $20. A quick google can point you in the right direction for all the study material and test info. A HAM license will get you on DMR plus a lot of other bands and modes. Now if you don’t want to take a test you could just buy a GMRS license online which I think cost around $80 and is good for 10 years or longer. GMRS just requires an application online plus your payment, no test. But you are strictly limited to GMRS.

After you add the Group ID number, hit "Enter" before you close it out;

Theron Gallauher thanks for the suggestion man. Unfortunately we tried that as well and it still doesn’t work consistently. One thing we did notice tho, if we always put the group ID number in first, then typed the actual group ID name, it greatly improved the chances of it saving the information. I can’t figure it out.

Hi, everytime I try to transmit into a DMR repeater it says "BS Failed". What does this mean and how can It be fixed?

It's not setup correctly.

I had this device, but I had a problem, he had a mild tone in the surrender analogue mode. Did you have such a problem?

No I haven’t ever noticed a tone on mine. Seems to work just fine in both modes.

Paul H Ford goto the website and register as a new user. Make sure you click “user” and not “repeater”. It’s been awhile since I did it but I think I had my ID number emailed to me within a day or two tops. www.dmr-marc.net/cgi-bin/trbo-database/register.cgi

YOU HAVE TO HIT THE ENTER BUTTON WHEN ENTERING THE ID NUMBER FOR IT TO STAY IN THE FIELD

Alex blais I’ve tried it numerous times, even tried tab/pg up/down, it still only takes when it wants. I can’t find a rhyme or reason. Sometimes it takes, sometimes it doesn’t. One thing I have noticed tho is, when adding contacts if I add the number first, then add the name, it will take. But if I add the name then the number it doesn’t hardly take at all. Idk!?!?
