If you may lock your key in car, you can get a "door key" made at ACE previously for $6. They will match the key "blade" to a standard older style key blank and cut it to be same as the blade key with your Nissan. That at least will allow you to easily enter the vehicle to retrieve your ignition keyfob. I had three made, one for each driver, and one to remain always at home, just in case. I keep the "door key" in my wallet, since it's always with me for sure when exiting vehicle.

The Maxima will not allow the doors to lock while the fob is still in the vehicle, not sure these after market fobs do this

I used a thick commercial black zip tie to fasten my spare door key to a concealed location on the frame. So that way it is accessible anywhere the car is.

Yeah be very careful when you enter the programming mode since if you fail you will erase the key fob memory to the car. And the instructions said it only works five times. SO this is a big investment and mostly one-time thing.

There are several different types of Nissan systems. Not all program the same. If your slot is no good or disconnected you will be stranded with this programmer.

All you need for a 2007 Murano is the physical key and the fobs. No OBII device is required.

OK I don't get where you are saving anything if the Dorman Key/fob is $80.00 and you said to make a copy of your Key/fob is $80.00 let them do it for $80.00 and be done with it.. Ok I get it if you lose the one and only key/fob, means the car has to be towed to the dealer, they have to gain entry and rekey and program a fob for the car costing stealership pricing of upwards $600.00+.

You right. I failed to clarify, $80+ is typically just for labour. Plus a key fob, which is additional $100-350. Vs. with this tool you get both key fob & programming for around $100.

@@chrisd5758 nope ima have to go to the Nissan dealership and have them program the one I bought. You need special technology which is like $1000+ if you want to do it yourself. Ridiculous. But luckily my run still runs with just the key but i gotta do everything manually which is fine for now

@@keejay12 damm man you're better off calling a regular locksmith! I paid 200 bucks for them to program my jag key and I just called for my infiniti its 90. They use the same scanners as dealers just charge 2x more so if anything look for a good local locksmith who reprograms hope I could help. It sucks because my armada I can program any key just fine but my older infiniti I cant smh

See if O'Reilly can do the key using the VIN number, should be on your insurance policy card you are supposed to keep in your car, or on a door label, and always under the driver side windshield. They will ask you to bring proof of ID and the insurance card, or title.

I didn’t find a fix. I had to bring my key to the Infiniti dealership and they re-programmed my original key again. So, now I have the original back, which is necessary to use this reprogramming equipment in the first place. Crucial learning curve. :(

@@dillonpollard4545 messed up on one of the steps.. went to restart the steps over my Altima wouldn’t let me even let me turn the ignition on to the steps over. Lock smith told not to ever buy this product. Cost me 280 bucks .. lock smith is the way to go may expensive but it’s done right
