Thank you for this simple pronunciation lesson, it actually helped me face one of my fears. I was always terrified of those words, I even would change what i would say when i had to use them orally.

Rachel, as a teacher of English who uses the IPA as a tool I confess I've never heard a schwa being produced instead of the /ʊ/ sound. In my dictionaries that use the IPA such as the OED and Longman, only the /ʊ/ sound is used. It sounds to me that it is ok to use a weak form in the words could, would and should because they're reduced. But you may not use a schwa in book, cook, look... Thanks for the fabulous job.

Thanks A LOT, Rachel, contradictions like this can really make the speech sound more natural. I'd also love to hear the word "competitive", especially the last part of it in the context of True/Flap T.

Thank you so much for your wonderful lessons! You have no idea how helpful they are! I have always had difficulties pronouncing the words "hurting, regarding" and similar ones because of the T or D followed by ING. Do you have any tips/hints for those?

We also can reduce "would" as "d" but I still don't understand how can we pronounce "It'd be easier". There are successively a "t" and a "d" do it's really hard... Though this video was great ! Keep up the good work Rach ;)
