Thank you! Is the allophone of t in the "-stics" a flap? If so, is the allophone of t in the "sta-" also a flap? Again, thank you for the patient teaching.

Sorry for bothering, but I'd like to ask in another way. Are such t allophones in the "sta-" and "-stics" of the word statistics the same, since they both follow an unstressed s-starting syllable? And, as you say in the video, the second t allophone is like a sound between t and d. Is it a special allophone or just a flap? Best wishes, Donba!🌻🌻🌻

Hi, the /t/ sounds in st blends are typically unaspirated /t/ sounds, meaning they aren't the same as a flap, because they do build up pressure and stop the air. But they don't have a burst of air like an aspirated /t/. I talk more about this in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqCakmOidtR3fc0
