YAY! Another video from Liz! I have a suggestion if I may...Would you consider doing a video on all your "Fatso's?" I too think they are just the cutest succulents. I'd be curious to know which is your favorite too! If you've already done a video on this, I DO apologize and don't know how I've missed it. I hope you and your family are well and enjoying life!

Not yet. I have a problem in deciding which ones are considered fatsos. My idea of fatsos are quite different to some people.

Hi Liz, I’ve asked some questions in your channel so sorry for spamming🥲 At 2:00, if I don’t want any stems appearing above the soil, could I just push the stem into the soil right away? Or do I have to let them dry and callouse?
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK Жыл бұрын
In this scenario, I would usually top up the pot with more soil to cover exposed roots or stem or repot it.

Good day Maam Liz here in Manila we are entering Summer. My pachy compactum which I bought and air dried for 3 days and repotted it to a vey porous soil and placed it in indirect bright light and hasn't taste water yet as I just repotted it. The chubby leaves slowly fell off. It has dark spots and eventually turned black and dried as i was trying to leaf propagate. But now the mother plant stem is already rotten. It hasn't tasted water yet😢 i still have about 5 chubby leaves left for propa😢 where have I gone wrong Maam😢

Pachyphytum and Graptopetalum are dormant when the temperature goes over 25°C. Best time to buy them is around December & January, so they can have time to grow in the colder months. By the start of February, they should have already been potted and given a few days to grow roots that can sustain them in the months with high temperature. Best thing to do is just place those leaves in a cool and bright but shady area. Keep them dry and hopefully, they'll strike(it might take a while). Good Luck.

@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK oh thank you for your prompt reply Maam LizK😍 so is it safe to say that compactum is medium to high succulents that is hard to care for?😰 Maam Lizk I cant also buy them during rainy season in Manila (May-Aug)? Especially if my roof deck is wide open for all the rain/sun exposure? Lastly Maam Lizk, I hope you dont mind my 2mos old frog toe died yesterday as well no matter how watering i have made it is still wrinkled and shriveled. I hope you have vlogs for them as well. Thanks to your very informative vlogs Maam have a blessed vlogging😍👏🏻

@@Ok-dw4gz Compactum is very easy to care for (no care). Secret is always the growing condition and soil. Watering them when dormant especially exposed to full sunlight, grown in a pot, kills the plant. Frog toe? Andromischus? Also have the same growing condition as compactum. Dormant during summer and grows when temperature is cool or low.

Different succulents germination times varies. When taken during the dormant period, it can take months before they grow. This plant in particular will grow fastest during Spring and Autumn when the temperature is cooler. If taken at the end of spring through summer, it will not grow and will lay dormant for months and sometimes not grow at all.
