Thanks for showing us how to do this. I love poppies and as you said, the bees love them. I've lost a few over the years but now that I've found the right spot, they come back year after year.

Hi Wendy, Yes, mine were definitely in the wrong spot!

It's been rumored that they don't take well to being transplanted. This is fascinating (and hopeful)!

Hi there, these have been a great success and I've had loads of flowers from the transplants and even some from the root cuttings - it felt quite easy to me and so I'd definitely recommend it 😊🌸

Thank you for sharing this, I had no idea that I could propagate poppies. Will definitely try this now. 😊

I love your informational videos! I am dividing my oriental poppies as they have become so full they flop over. I followed your instructions carefully, but have a few question. I potted up the cuttings (September 22nd) and put them on the north side of the greenhouse (the greenhouse still gets very hot in the afternoon in Western Colorado), how moist do they need to be, or how often to water them? They are not covered, would it be better to cover them to keep in moisture? Also, how long before I will see some green leaves or stems? Thank you for your information.

Thanks so much Susan. I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner - How are they doing? do you still have questions or have they started growing?

I love and grow Oriental poppies. I've grown Royal Wedding for years. Have you ever tried growing them from their seeds? Bonny

Hi Bonny, I have grown poppies from seed - they are super easy but don't like being transplanted so it's best to sow directly - however I've not done that yet because of the cats - they'd love a bare patch of earth to dig in 🤪
