Rambutan is slow fruiting fruit tho. It will take like 4-7 years for fruit or even 10 for good production.

The rambutan trees can be male (producing only staminate flowers and produce no fruit), female or hermaphroditic (producing flowers that are female with a small percentage of male flowers). You can not tell what you have until it flower in about 5 to 6 years later.

If you take out the seeds in the fruit. You let dry in the sun or in cold place? How many days you let dry the seeds before you put into a tissue?

Rambutan is a big tree...once your pot cannot contain them anymore, you have to replant it on the ground...

Be aware that rambutan trees have diferent sexes. Thus if you plant only one tree most likely you will never get fruits! You should plant at least 3 trees close by and you will improve chances of having cross pollinization and fruit bearing trees. I planted two the first time and after > 10 years they have not beared fruit.

Dont cut the male tree, just find a female tree that already bearing fruits and then get a cutting of its Branch and then attached it to the male tree that you have.. that process is called grafting

So, what temperature do the seeds need to be kept in to germinate? What type of soil was that? What temperature where they exposed to growing after that? What region of the world are you in? I imagine that these would not grow in California so they might have to be kept in a greenhouse?

Actually rambutan is perfect in California temperatures because originally they’re grown in hot places like Southern Asia. Soil with compost are good for seed sprouts.

I think your problem is if your wrapping them up it will cause them to mold you just have to lay them down on the tissue in a container and put the lid on

I use garden soil mixed with organic fertilizer. If you take good care of it after 5 years, the tree will bear fruit
