For anyone with questions: 1) It's probably...just your basic succulent and cacti soil. 2) Ordinarily you need to dry the leaves out for three days before planting them. OP lives in an area hot and dry enough to grow these plants outdoors year-round, allowing him to skip this step, more or less.

All their text seems to be in Korean, and I don't see Korea as being the most succulent-friendly climate on earth! Even in some of their other videos you can see it's wintertime, and their freakin' AEONIUMS and ECHEVERIAS are covered with snow. I could NOT handle that if it were me!!! Haha. Even if they survive, what about once it all melts? All that cold water all in the crowns of the rosettes?! I couldn't do it to my plants. I live in California and 50 degrees F is bad enough! Plus in Korea it rains, so that's potentially an issue; then it's humid in the summer, and freezes in winter. Overall it's too much moisture, anytime of year - that's why most of the videos seem to be done in greenhouses or undercover of some sort. But that being said, many cuttings can actually be planted right away - just do NOT water for at LEAST two weeks... they need to grow new roots first. Generally that's something that only works in the appropriate locales (like USDA Zone 9-11). Something else also that I see done on this channel, that I truly can't comprehend doing, is dunking not only an entire plant into a POND to water it...but submerging the entire thing, pot and all. Why? Lol. I see some expensive looking plants in these videos. I would be worried about killing them myself, and something as preventable as watering them just by submerging!

Succulents propagation is easy. I just put the leaves over a piece of paper towel on the kitchen counter, in two weeks the babies are growing!
@areyes30943 жыл бұрын
A dry or wet paper towel? How often do you water the clippings?
@jhennessyde-la-fuente71933 жыл бұрын
@@areyes3094 ..Must be a dry paper towel, and I don't water the clippings until they got roots, sometimes babies comes first and then the roots. I use a bottle water to mist only the roots just a bit. When the roots are half inch long I transfer the clipping to a pot with soil. Some types of Sedums takes longer to root.

In which season we can grow succulents easily?
@alo79513 жыл бұрын
All year round. Keep out of direct sunlight in summer as the extreme heat and sun can burn them and they can dry out before propagating

Can you tell me the ratio you use for the granular fertilizer? I love how fast your babies grow.
@erikm8372 Жыл бұрын
If you purchase Osmocote or Osmocote plus, read whatever it says and divide it in half or thirds. Basically for a one gallon potted plant, you'd only need a quarter teaspoon (level, not heaping) sprinkled over the surface. Then mix in lightly, and preferably cover with some new soil and gravel. Don't water immediately unless it's time for that. I usually eyeball granular fertilizer. It's just enough to lightly cover the top layer of soil. But you don't want to see only granules. In fact, I'd say you don't even want to see 50/50 soil-granules. It's just a sprinkling over top, and mix it in. Succulents aren't picky but they also aren't hungry to be honest. Does it help? Absolutely. But can it hurt them? Absolutely. Always less is more. The plants have to be resilient and work with what you give them, too...if it's less than the recommended dosage, they make do with it. And look better. If you feed too much, they get fat and green quickly before rotting. Same with watering. Too much, they get fat and die. Too little, they shrivel. It's like sugar or fat with the diet of humans. It's necessary but it's also potentially dangerous.
