I have an Na hardtop on my Nb, It was very banged up and the latches were oxidised. So i took them off (if you know, you know) fiberglassed, sanded, painted, made like new including the latches. However there is a little bit of adjustability in the placement of the latches themselves and even with the latch maxed out on tightness, the one side did not lock in as snuggly as before. Although unscrewing the latches from the hard top is a Herculean feat, I would suggest those people with the latches maxed out, consider adjusting the striker plates on the windscreen side closer to the windscreen first, then with the *appropriate large Jis bit* (not philips) screw driver, loosen the latch screws and move the latches back away from the front of the hard top a smidge. The screws that hold the latches to the hardtop are loctited in and are 20+ years old, if you use a philips head on them you will not survive.😂😂😂

I haven't used my soft top in over a year because even after I replaced my seals they would fill up with water and then leak. So I just stick with the hardtop unfortunately. Any thoughts?

@miatamike93 While new soft top seals will help, you'll also need to adjust them to actually ensure that the top is sealing properly - simply installing the new seals is not enough. Please see our instructions on the soft top seal kit product listing (or the factory service manual) for more information.

@@FlyinMiataVideo I did adjust them, and I also replaced those little rubber nubs on the latches.
