WRONG ! set the headlights with blade down in float, with plow weight off truck . You want to see what your plowing not worry about oncoming traffic which shouldn't be out in the first place

My installation manual has instructions for everything you demonstrated EXCEPT what needs to be loosened and then re-tightened in order to actually adjust the headlight beam. The manual is not at all helpful for that part of the job.

there are really a few other factors and effects to this procedure . 1) when you drop the plow the lights shoot higher . 2) if you are loaded with a salt spreader , loaded /empty .

Correct , All factors in place still set headlights for plowing

My headlights also point really low and they are maxxed out. This is how I got it from the dealer. I also noticed a lot of play when the plow is in float and if i push on the light bar (hitch), probably 2 inches of play, really sloppy.

Two batteries would help, usually the plow package comes with dual batteries.

My lights point really low with plow up,tried adjusting them but there at there max cant raise them higher anymore,any reason for this?
