Great video. Your explanation was very in depth. I feel I can properly adjust a hackamore now without hurting my horse. Thank you.

I just got a horse who was taught to use a hack and one I am putting in a hack. This was great information for a beginner with a hackamore. Thank You!

I am so glad to find a video that shows where it should be, How tight, and where the bone is. Great for Newbies on the Hackamore like me! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! This was very helpful...people kept telling me that the nose band was too high, and it was actually just right. Feel much better and she is more comfortable.

Damn those are some nasty shanks. They multiply the force you put on the reigns multiple times. This is a model hackamore that is quite risky for his nose.
@blm-bugsy46686 жыл бұрын
carolineleiden Im not much of a fan of those shanks which is why i don't use this model anymore, it was just all I could find when I bought her This set up to switch out of the but she had. I got a pair of shanks that are much shorter that she likes better. I'm working on making a side pull rig here pretty soon.

what would you do if your horse spooked and you've got her tied around the neck to the wall?
@blm-bugsy46685 жыл бұрын
Her spooks are minimal and she knows to give to pressure so I wouldnt do anything. She would figure her own life out within a few seconds and I'd go back to business.

What brand of hackamore is this? I haven't been able to find one like this anywhere! And thank you for the vid and explaining the importance of leather curbs. Could not agree more!
@blm-bugsy46684 жыл бұрын
I dont remember the brand, but if you Google english hackamore it should pop up as one of the first results. Most online tack stores should carry this type of hackamore

It is not a hackamore (traditional). It is a mechanical hackamore. Huge difference.
@gerrycoleman7290 Жыл бұрын
The mechanical hackamore is a pain compliance device.

That is Not a hackamore! It's a macanical hackamore and True hackamore would have No metal on/ in it.
@blm-bugsy46686 жыл бұрын
Chantel Barcomb a hackamore is any bridle that does not hold a bit and exerts pressure onto the nose of the horse. This includes mechanical hackamores, side pulls, bosals, dr cook bridle etc.
