How to Properly Fix Your BMW's CIC / CCC iDrive System When It Keeps Rebooting

My CCC unit did the reboot thing 4 years ago. I had it replaced. The replacement is doing the same thing now. I had to replace the Top HIFI amplifier too. These two units get soo hot.

When you replaced it, did you have it fixed like I did, or did you just get a used one?

I was told that the problem might not be the CCC itself, but communications from the other components connected to it not operating properly

If you are having the exact symptoms that I had, it’s the CCC / CIC logic board. They used cheap solder and it comes apart. Literally exactly like the red rings for death from the Xbox 360. Interesting how they were made around the same time lmfao

Were you able to still drive the car while part was out for repair?

Yes absolutely! It also does not create any error codes. You have full usability of the car minus the radio / idrive

He raised his price by more than double. He used to charge $300 usd. He’s now ripping people off at $750 usd. Then you don’t even know if a repaired ccc solves the issue when you also have dead controller

@@FirstLast-et3sw If you look around the internet you’ll find that no one else offers the service anywhere near the level he provides. I still think his price is fair. That decision has to be up to the purchaser though. So far my unit has been flawless.

Привет! В Москве это чинят только две компании. цена ремонта 30.000 рублей. Эта поломка происходит из за вибраций. Некоторые снимают сами и прогревают феном плату и начинает работать.

Проблема в том, что этот метод заключается в том, что вы можете расплавить печатную плату. Да, из-за вибраций чипсет расшатывается. но именно тепло плавит цепь. его надо правильно отремонтировать
