Subbed, this is the only one that works, thank you so much, the other ones are just dividing by 8 and put portal but no steps like this which makes the portal to be linked somehow, this is a lifesaver

but the problem is when I built the portal in the nether at a different y value, the it both portal link to the same place, same y level works though

Dude I was just getting super frustrated because I couldn't link up a portal in the nether and when I went from the one into the nether it just spawned me in a random place and this is a life saver

how do you tell the bottom left from the other side, because depending on which direction you walked into it does it matter? Does it depend on which direction you were facing when you lit the portal?

I as a guy who plays without coordinates i link my portal using locator map,just create a locator map in overworld look on it where you at then go to nether then look again where you at ,then go to the exact location of u on the overworld.

I have a chunk loader that was linked I built a portal in the oveworld 30 plus blocks away and a portal in the nether on my highway and they linked but now the chunk loader is spitting items out of the other portal why would they unlink?

These are the cordinates of my portals: x -129 z 22 --> x -1032 z 176 x -125 z 26 --> x -1000 z 208 I keep trying just like you showed but they still get linked to the same one (does the fact one of the nether portals is on the nether roof matters?)

Yes, nether roof matters (somewhat). The linked portal can only be 128 blocks on the Y axis away. When I build my overworld portal at the same height as my netherportal (both 231 for a gold farm) they linked up just fine.

@@twinflameexotiic5505try follow this strategy: let’s say you have two overworld portal with addresses x800z160 and x480z160 now they both link to a portal in nether adress x100z20 what you should do is calculate the “should be” nether address by “dividing by 8” for each overworld one you get x100z20 and x60z20 in the nether now you see the x60z20 is missing, so you go to the nether and build one portal there at x60z20 (using 10 obsidian) then they should link accordingly

Is that the left side facing north or the left side facing south? I noticed you used the larger x coordinate instead of the smaller, is that the key?

Does this still work? I've just followed this several times, setting up portal, smashing them because it hasnt worked, setting them up again in slightly different places, still doesnt work. All the nether portals link to the same overworld portal. No matter where I put the portals. Edit: Is this only for bedrock edition or something? I only ever play on Java

Hi I and some friends are on a server and have build our own Nether portal, but mine and another its not linked properly his works but my portal in Nether goes to his Nether portal in OW. Do you have a solution for that? tryd do like youre video but didn't work and we play java edition

I have four nether portals and two of the overworld portals are linked to one of the nether portals in the nether, anyone know a fix Solution: Whenever a portal is placed and “linked” it sends out lines in all directions INCLUDING A VERTICAL LINE so if you put your portal a bit down or more up it might be your fix.

I really dont get why it does not work in my world. I have a portal in a village at -800; -800 , really lucky for this. In the nether the portal stays at -263; -250 or something like that. A portal in the nether at -100; -100 comes in the overworld at like -360 or something like that. I really dont underand how those numbers can be. Playing on Xbox.

every block in the nether is equal to 8 blocks in the overworld, so if you link 2 portals in far away locations, it makes travelling much easier. Portals in minecraft arent synced properly so knowing how to do it makes it very good for travel

On PC it’s F3 to see them, but on console there is a setting to “show coordinates” that looks like the video. It’s different on each platform.

You uh use it by uh using the 8 blocks and uh useing it to link them and uh linking them 8 blocks portal overworld and nether and connect it up and it 8 blocks then good but if not bad then you know uh link it up overworld portal using the 8 blocks.
