How to properly spec your wheels (bmw f30)

I wanted to share how to properly spec your wheels for a nice flush fitment for your BMW F30, but you can use this for all cars.
Wheels are probably the most important visual modification, since it's something everyone will see right away. Bad fitment can not only ruin the look of your car but also create damage to the body, suspension and ofcourse damage your tires and wheels. Wheel width and offset are the 2 most important factors when purchasing your new wheels. Wheel height is also important and the most overlooked factor are the tires. Tires in the same size from different manufacturers are not exactly the same and if you are looking for an aggressive fitment, tires will play a more significant role. There are also tricks to create tire stretch to create additional clearance but we won't be covering that in this video.

My current spec:
VMR V703
Front - 19x8.5 et40
tire - 235/35/19
(future adjustment 10mm spacer (et 30)
Rear - 19x9.5 et45
tire - 275/30/19

I’m running 20x9 +25 front and 20x10.5 +35 rear on H&R super sport springs. Front fitment is perfect Rear is extremely aggressive can’t even fit a finger. I’m running a 275 in the rear and it rubs just a little bit with -2.5 degrees of camber. Stock camber plates. If I could do it again I would go 19x10

Depends on which car you have and brake option.

I have the exact wheels except they are 19x8 ET35 235/35 ( front tires) the rears are , 19x9 ET40 255/35 , do you think they will fit sorry I am very new to this

I think you will be fine for the rear, but it's been a while since I've had the f30 at this point.

Not sure you could. You would be pushing the wheel a quarter inch on the outside with the extra width and pushing the wheel itself out 10mm. You may get away with it with camber and aggresively stretched tires.

Yes 19x10 +35 will fit fine. Better to go with +40 in rear..

@@danstanford89 I think you will be ok. I'm running et45 and 275 tire. There's some room left and with a bit of stretch on the tire you should be good.
