How do you combat shrinkage, I always have horrible shrinkage w 2 strand twists

This is late, but try doing it on stretched hair the day after wash day. Heatless stretched preferably so you won't be damaging your hair. Do that by putting leave-in after you wash your hair, detangling, then braiding it or twisting in medium to small sections to let it dry for the next day. Style by dampening the hair JUST A BIT (esp if the twisting product you are using is very thick or instructions say to use on wet hair). OR do it on completely dry hair and just add the cream. I personally recommend adding a mouse to it too at that point but do what works for you.

How do you keep the ends of your hair from breaking off with the knots? How do you take the knots down or apart?

my ends are moisturized so they will not break off, and its not tight at all, and to release I just slide my hands down the twist and it unravels. it simple, but Im going to do a dedicated video on it, to show a close up because you are not the first to ask a question like this one.

Thank you, I trim when needed, I am not on a set schedule, but if I have a lot of knots on my ends and splits, i will dust my ends. I take off the smallest amount. I probably do it every month, but it is only the only the smallest amount ever, then throughout the week if i see knots i will just cut it. or if i am styling and i see that my ends look bad, i will dust my ends then too. it just depends on my hair.

I need a little help. Do you think that the leave in conditioner and smoothie in this line will keep my hair really hydrated? I have a slightly looser curl pattern than you and the SM Curl Enhancing Smoothie and the Camille Rose Fresh Curl, Almond Jai Twisting Butter, Curlaid, Moisture Milk NOTHING is working for more than an hour in my hair.....because of this I do not even have a proper leave in conditioner. ...I am soooo frustrated. Do you think the Smoothie and Leave in in this Mielle Organics line will provide more moisture? #helpme

yes this leave in conditioner is amazing, i do like the hair smoothie but its not absolutely the best for me.. i would try hair milks, those are usually lighter and not heavy as thick butters... some milks i like -- Organigrowhairco hair milk curl love moisture milk by Camille rose (if could be a little heavy though, my daughter has a looser curl pattern and it ends up being greasy on her hair) i like the mane choice heavenly halo collection hair milk crème of nature coconut milk collection hair milk as i am long and luxe collection groyogurt or leave in conditioners i like tgin leave in conditioner strands of faith leave in conditioner mielle organics pom and honey leave in conditioner curls dynasty Kalahari smoothie alikay naturals lemongrass leave in as i am leave in conditioner (regular line)

I love all 4 for different reasons. I think they all work well. if you want something thinner then I would do the leave in and smoothie. or if you want something thicker then use the soufflé. if you want hold to your styles or you love wash n gos then get the custard

Well I would say that the only product I got hold from was from the custard which was very light. Personally for me I do not care about hold when it comes to my styles, I like definition, moisture and fluffy hair not a hard hold - I know some people look for hold so their style can last longer, but this line is very moisture based, and you will not get that much longevity with the definition unless you re-styled through the week. Also the curl smoothie, and soufflé doesn't have that much slip for me, so it was hard to detangle when those products were on my strands, so I would just recommend to detangle with the leave in or the curling custard. The fragrance is pretty potent, so if you don't like heavily fragranced products then this line would not be for you. Other than that I cant really think of any more cons, If I do I will definitely let you all know.

also I did a wash n go with the curling custard, I will have that video out soon. but it doesn't define the curls that much, it will definitely define more of a looser curl pattern with ease. I just have to work at it to get my curls to pop. and a little goes a long way especially with that custard, on one side I got a ton of flakes because I wanted to see if I used more products would that help my curls to be more defined, it didn't make a difference at all but I got so much flakes because of that.

Yes well these products are very moisturizing, if you want something light go with the leave in or curl smoothie, or if you want something heavier go with the soufflé - you will definitely get lasting moisture with using more that one product - and layering them (that's what I do all the time for any product)

Your hair looks good. One suggestion, because your hair is so thick I feel like you should moisturize your hair in smaller sections. Some parts of your hair look a bit dry in between.

Thank you, My hair is well moisturized throughout. I'm not able to show you guys every last second of me adding product into my hair, if I did the video would be hours long haha. My videos are cut into to clips, so you are only able to see a little portion of any step I take while doing my hair. Trust me, I make sure to work the product into my strands.
