As a former competitor, I grew up training for 26 years with the standard genuine leather steel two prong lifting belt. It is now stiff, darken due to sweat. It is time to replace it. I have been doing some research on the E26 belt pros and cons and have not read one single con review on this belt. I'm very impressed! I look forward to purchasing and putting it to work. 👍

I am so excited to receive this on Sunday! My Rogue velcro 4 inch recently has popped off twice on relatively heavy Oly Lifts, which 1) scared the absolute crap out of me thining my back blew out or something (luckily I maintained a nice brace pressure and didn't release my breath during the shock) and 2) could have led to injury. Nice video, very clear and concise. Can't wait to give it a shot.

Ah.. so this is what I was missing 😅 I was using it like a regular belt and now strings are coming off but probably should’ve watched this video months ago! Going to have to order another. BEST belt I have ever used! Not too bulky but fits and makes you feel secure on lower lifts.

How did it work out!? Small should be perfect for you.
@optimalorlando
@optimalorlando 3 жыл бұрын
@@Element26Gear small works well , there is a small 3 inch gap in between but when locked and Velcro'd it keeps compression perfectly. When I do wear it a lil looser for squats, it locks fine but the velcro almost comes short. With that said the medium would close the gap for those who prefer that and the velcro will attach to more area for the looser fit. Also to note, the belt has increased my dead lift and squats without sacrifice safety
@Element26Gear
@Element26Gear 3 жыл бұрын
@@optimalorlando Glad to hear that! Make sure you are using the self-locking buckle using the technique explained in the video, it will ensure the belt never comes open (You don't even need to attach the velcro, I personally rarely do).

I'll be honest, when I first got it, I didn't like it. was use to the traditional belts, so I bought a leather one with the simple belt buckle. The leather was so stiff that I ended up going back to the element belt. It's grown on me since then and I do like it, but I have to continually adjust it as it gets all lopsided every few minutes. But that may be because of my gut lol. It is lighter than the traditional belt though and that's what I like about it. overall it's a good belt, I guess I'm old school and prefer the traditional buckle that comes off and on much easier than having to loop the belt through twice before being able to tighten it. I still use it for light workouts but go to the leather one for heavy lifting and bench.

Hello There, If the measurement around you navel (Not your waist size) is 31-32", the size Medium will fit perfect. Please use the measurement around the navel and then refer to the sizing chart. Do not go off pant size.

I just got one of these belts. Do you all feel these are good enough for bodybuilding? I'm an advanced lifter (52 years old) and haven't used a belt in some years, so I picked up the Element 26 belt. I am not power lifting and I only go to about 300-400 lbs on deadlifts and rack pulls, and less than that for squat these days.

Hey Rick, Thanks for reaching out! The Self-Locking weightlifting belt is excellent for bodybuilding and even powerlifting with very heavy lifts. Remember, the benefit of a weightlifting belt is the intra-abdominal pressure created by your core pressing outwards against it. So long as it provides an even profile for you to do so, you will get the full benefit of a weightlifting belt. Having a thicker, more stiff, or leather belt has no functional benefit for any type of lift over our belt as the full benefit happens inside the core. So long as you have the correct size and use the self-locking system properly, you should be good to go for many years no matter the type of lift you throw at it! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to shoot us an email at Support@Element26.co

@@Element26Gear Thanks. I was wor ied that I should have gotten a heavy duty belt like Pioneer, etc. I hear only leatherbelts offer enough support for lifting. That said I will try today. My waste is 35" and I got a size Medium. It's pretty tight and just barely reaches the velcro. Is it better for me to use a large belt? Thanks. Rich
@Element26Gear
@Element26Gear 2 жыл бұрын
@@Bognerman14 Hey Rich, As long as it's through the self-locking mechanism, it won't ever loosen during a lift. The thought that you need a heavy leather belt for lifting is an outdated mindset from before people understood how a belt provides stability within the body (intra-abdominal pressure). The only benefit of a thick leather belt is the tactile feedback (More painful reminder that it's on)
@Bognerman14
@Bognerman14 2 жыл бұрын
@@Element26Gear That is so true. You still see guys wearing massive, heavy duty leather belts, like it's a badge of honor. A friend told me to check out the pioneer nylon belt as he said it's the only nylon belt he knows of that will hold up to heavy lifting like a leather belt. I had to laugh because I know that is so untrue. I used the Element belt today for squatting and it worked great. Thanks for your help. The only time I have found I need leather is for straps as they seem to really adhere to the bar, feel better and seem extremely strong. Nylon straps work well as well. Cloth or cotton straps I have found to stretch too much. So I think that mindset and the fact that I grew up using a leather belt, had me trapped in thinking I needed heavy leather. Once I did some reading on the purpose and function of a belt, it all made a lot more sense. Thanks again.

I measured myself and I am at 36 inches around the navel. Should I get a medium or large?
@Element26Gear
@Element26Gear 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Jenn, Both will work, however the medium will have a small gap between the two ends of the belt and the large will have a good amount of overlap. I personally prefer to have a small gap between the two sides as it makes it faster and easier to tighten and loosen, but some like to have the feel of both sides overlapping. Either way, if you order and find out it's the wrong size, just shoot me an email at Jason@Element26.co and we'll get it taken care of for you!
