Valuable tip. I’ve been wrapping my cables like this since I was a little digitech, then commercial photographer more than 10 years ago. Taking care of your gear and accessories is so important.

Yup! Works for Ethernet cables too. I always get upset with techs that don’t wrap cables correctly. Takes so long to setup for the next event when you have to spend time untangling cables from the last event.

Lol 😂 I remember when I was new to production team, the older tech taught me exactly that method. But while I was doing it by myself- it feels not intuitive, feels like you’re setting up the cable to tangle bec of alternating turns.. so I didn’t listened and just did it my own way-one direction loop 😆. The next week during setup, when other team tried to unwind, they had a hard time loosening my loop haha😅
