prophet means preacher, preaching the word of God. it's not talking about extra biblical revelation. people who say "God told me, God spoke to me" and then it's something extra biblical, that is false, the Bible says we have a more sure word of prophecy, the word of God bible.

Acts 2:17-18 and Amos 3:7-8 the Lord has been giving people rapture dreams and prophecies to tell people to repent and live holy to be ready for the rapture. My first rapture dream was on 3/16/2017, and I have done over 700 videos about it. But I had been born again and studied the Bible every day since March 2005. I had another rapture dream on December 7, and I shared it. I also continue to warn people what the Scriptures say about divorce and remarriage adultery. The Lord gave me a dream in August before the election, and I was at the White House on November 4 telling Trump that he had lost. I am watching every day for the rapture, and encouraging the brethren to be excited. Obama is the AC. Maranatha.

Contrary to how it is generally presented, prophecy is not prognostication. "He that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort." ed·i·fi·ca·tion - the instruction or improvement of a person morally or intellectually. ex·hor·ta·tion - an address or communication emphatically urging someone to do something. comfort - The Holy Spirit of God IS The Comforter; The Spirit of Truth.

The gifts of God are effectual, they accomplish their given purpose without fail. We prophesy by the Spirit of God when he comes upon us, having that particular gift. Some prophesy out of their own spirit, even by evil spirits or strong drink. No one needs to be taught to prophesy, since it is the Spirit who prophesies through us. We all may prophesy, by two or at most by three, and let the other judge. Prophecy is unto men for edification, exhortation and comfort. It is foretelling, but also forth telling by the inspiration of the Spirit. The gifts of God are not in effect today according to scripture! The cannon of scripture is complete so there is NO NEW prophecy! No new addition to His Word! You have not one tread of proof text to what you are saying. Not one. Here is proof text spiritual gifts ceased! 1 Cor 12: 1 1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. God did speak to the prophets at one point because they didn't have the full Bible, but now that we have the full Bible word of God, God speaks to us through his word. God does not need to extra biblically speak to someone today all of what he has to say to us is in his word, the Bible. today's "prophets" are preachers, preaching the Bible word of God, not extra biblical revelation.

Are you one that believes 1 Corinthians 12:4-12 is inactive or that prophecy is merely preaching what the bible says? Corey, Old testament prophecy functions differently than new testament. OT Prophecy was not subject to testing as NT prophecy ‭1 Corinthians 14:29-32 KJV‬ [29] Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. [30] If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. [31] For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. [32] And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. Does this indicate room for error or inaccuracy? What about the verse prophesy in part we know in part? Remember the spirit of the Lord came upon king Saul and he prophesied. Not one of the words that he prophesied is written. Quit trying to make prophesy something weird that only happens very rarely. The scripture says the word of the Lord was rare right before the coming of the Lord. But that is clearly not common from the text. Revelation 19 says the testimony of Jesus the spirit of prophesy. So every believer has the spirit to speak for God. A prophet is a spokes person from God.

It interest me that you go to only what proves your point some time and not the scriptures as a whole. The church of Corinth was told that they could all prophesy one at a time, so that all could be encouraged. You used Deuteronomy 18 in one of your other video to say if someone prophesies presumptively he was a false prophet. Notice the scripture in Deuteronomy 18 says if a prophet presumptuously SPEAKS a word in my name. It doesn’t say if he writes a word in my name. The words that were intended for all the people of God are recorded as scripture. These prophets spoke these prophesies to Gods people before they wrote them down. When God spoke to Moses He said go and speak these words in the hearing of Pharaoh. When God spoke Jeremiah He said go speak these words to my people. A prophesy be what the Lord is saying right now every time He speaks. To prophesy Biblically means someone else is speaking through you. That’s why they are called prophets of the LORD, because Yahweh is speaking through them. That’s why the LORD commanded that no one was to consult a medium or a spiritus, because they were being spoken through by another, and not the Lord. That’s why Paul the apostle wrote in Titus one a prophet of the cretans spoke about them. He was saying a “prophet of the cretans” one who they presumed to speak from “god” said that they are always lazy, gluttons. Most the prophesies were not scripture because they were either personal or not intended for all the people of God. Scripture reveals how Yahweh speaks, His character, His name, and requirements. Not all prophecy does that, but all prophecy has to line up with the character and nature of God.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ prophesied in the books of Mathew 24 and Luke 21 about His second coming using words like "Certainly/Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass away before the 2nd coming of the Lord will happen". Going by dictionary definition, a generation spans between 15-20 years. From when Jesus died and till now, its been more than 2000 years which is approximately 70 generations passing and still Jesus has not come. This prophecy of Our Lord an Savior Jesus Christ was time specific. Even if it happens tomorrow, it would still be considered a failed prophecy because it was prophesied that it would happen before that generation passed again. So if we are to go by the prescription of Deuteronomy which says thou shall know a false prophet if what he says doesn't' come to pass, is Jesus Christ also a false Prophet? The answer is definitely NO. So we must be very careful in application and interpretation of scriptures. In my Christian experience, I have never seen any Prophets whose one or two prophecies have not failed. This is a mystery that no one can explain.

that isn't a false prophecy, you are misconstruing a lot of Matthew 24 was speaking of the destruction of the temple in 70AD that prophecy was given by Jesus to Israel, Judaism ceased in 70 AD with the destruction of the temple

​@@tomtemple69 Bro, if you have really studied Mark 13 very well with an excellent understanding, which is another eye witness account corroboration just of Mat 24 and Luke 21, of Jesus's Prophecy about the events that will happen that would signal his second coming, its self-explanatory to even a lay man to know that Jesus was talking fundamentally about his second coming and not the destruction of the temple as you have mentioned. One of his disciples brought Jesus's attention to the magnificent temple buildings but Jesus knowing that everything not just around the mount olives area but also in all nations across the world, including the temple buildings would be destroyed soon by the events that would precede his 2nd coming, gave a revelation or prophecy to Peter, James, John and Andrew specifically about the events that will precede his 2nd coming. Destruction of the Temple was a part of it and not just the totality of what Jesus was talking about. It is not only that the temple would be destroyed but also nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. In fact Mark 13:24-27 unambiguously explained it 24 “But in those days, following that distress, “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25 the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[c] 26 “At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens. 28 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 29 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it[d] is near, right at the door. The most validating verse that established the accounts of Apostles Mathew and Luke is verse 30 which says " 30 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away" 2 Corinthians 13:1 says “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” So bro, I really don't understand where your interpretation is coming from. There are no prophets today. The Bible is complete. REVELATION 22: 18-19 , do not add or takeaway from the scriptures. Prophets were called to bring revelation until the bible is written. You can learn and grow but not add extra bibical element to the word.

I'm in the Caribbean. I remember being in church in the 90s one Sunday when a particular sister was going to visit the USA. She spoke in church , openly telling everyone of her plans and that her flight was the very next morning. All bags packed, plans made with who she would be visiting. Everything was set. Then a particular sister who was noted for having a discerning spirit got up, started speaking in tongues and shouting '' No. Where you think you going?" No! says the Lord!. Oh boy, she bawled in church, money wasted. No trip as God said no.
