Corey, you couldn't be more wrong about water baptism not being required for salvation. Jesus clearly states it in Mark 16:16. If part of your rationale for that chapter/verse is that he didn't say people that don't believe and aren't baptized would be condemned, that's a horrible interpretation. If it wasn't required, why didn't Jesus just say that those who believe would be saved and not mention baptism at all? Why would he mention not being baptized when talking about people that don't believe? Where in the Bible was an unbeliever water baptized? It's common Biblical sense that an unbeliever wouldn't be getting water baptized, so there was no reason for him to include not being water baptized when talking about an unbeliever being condemned. Another clear misinterpretation is that the Holy Spirit baptism is the baptism that saves. The purpose of the Holy Spirit baptism was to aid the apostles as they spread the gospel, that's also made clear by Jesus in Acts 1:4-8. If what you're saying is true, why did Peter command Cornelius' household to be baptized in water, AFTER receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit? The Bible doesn't contradict itself...
