Hi Jeff! I majorly pruned my 12" bowl ofjade. You gave me the inspiration do it! Lots of thicker woody stems. After about a month there's a ton of new growth. I think the overall effect will be a small forest as opposed to one tree. Yours are beautiful!!!

I've got some older jade plants (6-7 years old) with nice woody stems. But, I've neglected them for several years and I know they would benefit from pruning, even though I'm late! It's mid June. Yeah, it's a little scary, although I've done it before with good results. The thing is, ending up with way more cuttings than I care to deal with. I wish I could find some way to give all of the cuttings a home.

Thanks, excellent video! Is this the way to prune other Jade variants too, like Jade Gollum for example?
@Planty-Mandy9 ай бұрын
You are the Jade master. 🙌 When you prune, do you find that any new leaves grow from bare nodes? Or once the leaves fall off, that node is done making leaves? I lost quite a few Jade leaves from thrips, mealies, and the treatment. Thankfully pest free now. 🤞
@salem_meow71378 ай бұрын
I’ve found that you tend to get a few nodes producing leaves like this at once. The trunk of my jade has been looking pretty bare for the last two years but I’ve moved it into a sunnier spot and suddenly I’ve got growth from about 10 nodes where leaves have fallen off in the past

I just gave my jade a hard prune. I also waited to long to water since spring started and gave it edema. Can wait for my bald Jade to fill out. Thanks for the tips. Your channel is the only reason I figured out how to prune mine. Great Video!!!

I pruned back my jade pretty heavily late last summer and the leaves that grew back have their edges curled under, almost like a Gollum. Not sure if it needs water or it will eventually grow out of it but the plant otherwise seems healthy.

Any tips on how I can stop my main stem of my jade from bending,I turn it occasionally to try and prevent this problem but it keeps wanting to bend, its health otherwise , I had it staked for a month and it straightened up but it reverted to its original way after a month or so. It’s not curling up , more on a slant bent

It's probably top heavy and you can prune or simply remove some leaves
