I had a big tree pruned a while back. These guys were amazing. I didn’t realize what a science it was.

So basically... need to prune a large tree? Call a professional to climb up it? lol

Came here for info how to do it myself and it's obvious I can't lol

Interesting to hear this in a coarse Eastern accent. Not a bad video. Just remember, DON'T TEAR BARK, and, DON'T LEAVE A BRANCH STUB. We could have used a bit more info about that weeping branch you cut right in the middle.

I had a sugar maple with criss crossing branches. I pruned them to the collar as you should. My question, being end of March, should a pruning sealer be used to prevent excess sap loss?
@garciasgardens39812 жыл бұрын
it should heal by itself.

After I pruned my large tree next to my pool I noticed my neighbors wife is always looking through her bedroom blinds and staring at me while I sun bathe near the pool.

So you don't put a sealer over the large cut offs?
@laneman87773 жыл бұрын
No. Recent studies have shown that pruning sealer slows down the healing process of the tree.

At 3:15 it says to cut mid branch. OK if you say so, myself I hate to make a pruning cut mid branch.
@calebwillhelm26354 жыл бұрын
I hate this way of pruning. I always start at the end of branch. Get it to lift up and shape it. If it doesn't work out them remove the main beam

it looks like they took way, way too much off, i'd be shocked if this tree wasn't dead months later

you are making your top cut on the wrong side, if you cut a large branch using this method it will rip the saw out of your hands

+Tryinglittleleg its a maple tree .. but i guess they eat all trees .. ash.. elm.. oak.. pine.. spruce.. fir.. all dead.. only way to kill the little bastards is cut the tree down n burn the wood

Look up “Emerald Ash Borer” and “Dutch Elm Disease” - I believe these are probably what your talking about. I’m in the Kansas City metro area and we have the same problems. There are treatments for both issues if you act ahead of time. The problem is that most people don’t act preventatively... Call a local *certified* arborist that does treatments ☺️

I wan't to put a link here to show people how to properly trim a tree but you don't explain why you cut the first branch (the one on the opposite side of the branches hanging into the neighbors yard). In Los Angeles, the tree trimmers have no ideas how to trim a tree. This video leaves out too much info. Please add before and after photos.

This is not even close to a large tree. It'd say it's a small tree at best.

Why even getting a weeping willow if you're going to do a mediocre pruning job and make the tree look pitiful? These people took way more off than what is required.
