I appreciate the knowledge passed along. I have climbing roses, shrub roses, and bush roses, all of which will need some pruning this spring. I haven't been successful in propagating cuttings yet, they all seem to turn black and die even with rooting hormone. Not sure what I am doing wrong there. 💖☺🤔

I can’t wait to see Peggy once she’s covered in blooms. I have 1 climbing rose bush that’s I know at least 30 years old, it has thorns, I’ve kept it cut back every other Fall. I’m hoping to add another somewhere, I do know I’ll be looking for a thornless one.

What kind of fertilizer do you use
@HeadFamilyFarm6 ай бұрын
I like to use granular organic rose fertilizer once a month from March to September on my roses, but spoon feeding water soluble 20-20-20 every couple of weeks has worked for me too.

What is in the terracotta color Greenstalk?
@HeadFamilyFarm7 ай бұрын
Those are spider plants that I (Zac) am growing out. There are around 150 of them in the greenstalk at any given time. I pot up the bigger ones every few months.

Oh my goodness! You left your wallet! You’re kidding me! On such an important trip! Would your wife say that you forget things often? lol To be at Petals from the Past and not have my wallet would make me nauseous!

I ordered a Peggy Martin Rose last week..does she grow fast?.I loove how u did the canes…I see u not using gloves..she doesn’t have prickly limbs?she is going to b a show stopper!!..🩷
@HeadFamilyFarm6 ай бұрын
Hi! She does grow fast, as with most things dig your whole 2-3 times the size of the pot it was in, she doesn’t need to be deeper than the pot she’s in. Add some compost (we use black cow) to the hole and fertilize a week later. She’ll take off! She likes full sun!
