Thank you so much for the many lessons in your videos. The two Branch method is priceless. The transformations breathtaking.

You make it look so easy. You likely have worked on hundreds if not thousands of trees. Have learned a lot from you as I am a total beginner.

How long would you leave wiring for? Does it take a long time for a tree to set itself to the new shape? A year or two?

What do you feed your pines?
@peterchan31006 жыл бұрын
Any fertiliser will do. In Spring we use a balanced feed of 10-7-5 NPK. Chicken manure also good.

I am thinking about growing a pine from seed what are your thoughts .
@peterchan31006 жыл бұрын
A slow process if you are not experienced in growing trees from seed. Better to buy nursery pines and work on them. But seed is possible. WE grow all our Maples, Scots pines and black pines from seed.

im sorry. i need to ask u about japanese maples disseases. you know how to deal with verticyllium wilt and fusarium wilt on acers bloodgood? thz
@peterchan31006 жыл бұрын
Verticillium and fusarium is impossible to cure. Best to burn the plant in case the virus spreads to other trees which it can do.

This was a European Black pine, right, not Japanese? Which is a better bonsai species: the European Black pine or the Scots pine?

I enjoy his videos. I’ve been doing bonsai a long time. I just get bothered by how rough he can be with the trees. It seems like every video he’s either throwing the tree in the pot on the ground or ripping branches and leaves/needles off. He definitely does not have a soft touch lol. I guess we just differ in how we respect the tree. Matter of opinion. It’s somewhat laughable at times.
