Great tip painting on your garlic/chilli concoction onto the scale! Scale is my one big citrus issue I can’t seem to break. I’m gonna use this method for sure. Thank you 🙏🏽 😊

It’s really worked for me. This year I have about 50 lemons on a 6” high tree. I’ve also started using diatomaceous earth for my indoor plants and I’ve had amazing results against scale. Just don’t buy a 2kg tub like I did, 😂, it only takes a few teaspoons to do the whole house with a duster!

@@TheBiteSizedGarden I’ve got DE in the cupboard, luckily my indoor plants are ok, but it has so many uses. Sounds like you’ve got a lifetime supply 😆

How much of each ingredients did you use for the concoction? It looks like it really did a good job at removing the I felted area's. Thank you.

Can you list your ingredients please? Chili powder or oil? Detergent like Dawn dish soap? I need help in taking care of my fruit trees. Thank you!

I’m not very scientific with it. Usually I’ll use about a tablespoon of eco friendly liquid dishwashing detergent, the same of garlic infused olive oil (but crushed garlic and any cooking oil would be fine), and chilli powder is usually easiest but you could finely chop chillies - as long as they are hot! Mix it all up and paste it on. You may need to re do it after a week, especially if it rains, but you should see results pretty quick. Good luck!

can you spray on the plant

Yes you can. I use the brush because my lemon tree is small and I like to paint it on thick, but on a bigger tree spray would be easier.
